Heartwood is the ideal venue for hosting celebrations and events big and small. From weddings and receptions to business conferences and meetings, our event planner can help you plan the perfect event.
Heartwood is home to The Crooked Road: Virginia's Heritage Music Trail. Hear musicians play, and talk to them at live concerts in our performance area and at jams in The Crooked Road Store. Listen to the largest collection of local old-time, bluegrass, and gospel music CDs and DVDs, and take some music home with you. Shop for exceptional handmade instruments made by local luthiers. Exhibits explore how this authentic roots music grew and continues to thrive here. Every Thursday night at Heartwood is live music from The Crooked Road and a special Heartwood barbeque menu. First, third and fifth Thursdays are open jam nights. Bring your instrument and join a circle. Don’t play? That’s okay! We welcome everyone to join us for dinner or just grab a drink and walk around and listen. Second and fourth Thursdays are showcase nights for Southwest Virginia youth musicians or TCR venues from around the region. Performers from around the region perform live gospel music every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during Heartwood's Farm Fresh Sunday Gospel Brunch. For more information on The Crooked Road, visit its website at www.thecrookedroad.org. Musicians interested in performing at Heartwood, whether for Sunday brunch or a Saturday night ticketed concert or anything in between, can contact event planner Brooke Webb at events@heartwoodvirginia.org.
